Image Generation

1. Adobe Firefly – We rely heavily upon Adobe Firefly Image 2 Model for our image generation. As of now, it is the primary model supporting most of the imagery on this website. Most images are created using text-to-image prompts along with specific settings and parameters to achieve thefinalbook.com's unique styling.
2. DALL-E – OpenAI's DALL-E 3 is also a powerful tool we turn to for specific needs and scenarios. Though limited in use, we do appreciate this model.

Content Creation

1. Grok – Developed by xAI, Grok is an AI assistant found on the X social media platform. We use Grok in both Fun and Regular Modes depending on the application. Grok creates most of the content found under the Database section of the website. Grok has been key in generating and filling out logistical data, researching, comparing and contrasting, and even creative writing.
2. ChatGPT –  Another tool developed by OpenAI, ChatGPT4-Turbo was the first AI model we used to assist in content creation. A fabulous model that we refer to often depending on the situation.

Code

1. Grok – As above, Grok is the first place we turn when needing simple scripts and HTML. Grok may be capable of far more, but we use this model to quickly format text or build minor webpage elements.

Human Element

The Final Book began as a novel written by SW Hammond. This project quickly developed into a trilogy – GODS, PROPHETS, and KINGS, respectively – with additional supplemental content popping up online. All of the content found in these narratives are 100% human written by SW Hammond and his team of editors. Most of the supplemental content found on this website that drives narrative is also written by SWH. Further, SWH reviews, edits, and cherry-picks content generated by AI within the Database section to better reflect The Final Book universe of novels and the overall arch that the story is driving toward. 

In short, the novels are human created and human written. The content surrounding the novels could be generated by AI, but then is curated, edited, and expanded upon by humans to support the narrative.

AI's Influence

At this point, it's impossible to separate AI's influence from The Final Book. I knew, precisely, what each of these characters were supposed to look like and how they behaved. But, just like in the real world, characters surprise you. Sometimes the tweaks or serendipitous outcomes of the algorithm will phrase something in just a way that unlocks an entirely new perspective or backstory. Sometimes the AI generated image is better than my imagination. You bet that AI has now influenced me, and this story.

Moving forward, it's impossible to say who's driving the ship. I know where we're going, but AI has filled out the map along the way. Because no one really understand how these AI models are working under the hood, I like to imagine that it's the Gods themselves who are helping to write their own story.
